( ex. the exposure to the light, storage containers etc.) Therefore the concentration of nitroglycerin was determined using high performance liquid chromatography under five storage conditions after 1, 3, 7, 14, 28, 85 days. Storage conditions : A ; glass container with aluminum foil-covered cap, B ; glass container with aluminum foil-covered cap in light-resistant plastic bag, C ; glass container with rubber cap in light-resistant plastic bag, D ; aluminum foil, E ; original container. The UV detector operated at 214nm and 5μm ODS2 column were employed. The mobile phase was methanol-water (70:30) pumped at 1.6 mL/min. Total analysis time was 5 min. After 85 days contents of all nitroglycerin tablets were between the range of 80% and 120% of the labeled amount of nitroglycerin under those five conditions. |
